LARCHWOOD, Iowa. – After the first day of competition of the USF Invitational,
Joshua Tu leads the Beavers as he sits in a 3-way tie with Diego Olano and Peyton Coahran of Winona State. The trio ended the day shooting 4-under par (68). Tu is competing as an individual at the USF Invitational.
The men's golf team currently sits in 4
th shooting a team-total of 301. Shortly ahead of the Beavers is Bemidji State in 3
rd shooting a team-total of 295.
Following Tu, tied for 6
th is
Chase Gedak who shot an even-par of 72.
Darien Herlick shot 2-over par (74), placing him tied for 15
th.
Jace Carslisle shot 4-over par (76), placing tied for 24
th.
Zach Hendrickson sits tied for 40
th shooting 7-over par (79).
Winston Grayson shot 8-over par (80), placing tied for 44
th
On the women's side, the Beavers sit in 8
th after the first 18 holes of competition with a team total of 339. University of Mary shot 340, placing them just ahead of the Beavers in 7
th.
Leading the women's side is
Holly Knudsen who is tied for 10
th after shooting 8-over par (80). Following Knudsen is
Lauryn Keller tied for 17
th shooting 9-over par (81). Next is
Abigail Goettle tied for 42
nd shooting 17-over par (89).
Taylor Cormier finished the day tied for 48
th shooting 17-over par (89).
Zoe Banack finished the day tied for 58
th shooting 23-over par (95).
The Beavers will return to the greens tomorrow to complete the last 18-holes of the USF Invitational.
