MANKATO, Minn. --
Bailey Wride and
Sidra Sadowsky lead the way for the Minot State women on Friday at the first day of the NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Minnesota State, Mankato.
Wride ran the third-fastest time of the day in the women's 600 meters preliminaries while Sadowsky ran the fourth-best time in the women's 800 meter prelims as both advance to their respective event finals on Saturday.Â
Wride clocked a time of 1 minute, 38.32 seconds in the 600 and Sadowsky finishes the 800 in 2:18.51. Wride's time broke her own NCAA Division II school record of 1:38.52 in the event from earlier this season.Â
Wride and Sadowsky also joined with teammates
Paulette Dominguez and
Nicole Reeves to finish 6th in the women's distance medley relay in 12:16.86.Â
On the men's side,
Peyton Tuhy had the best performance for the Beavers as he was 7th-fastest in qualifying in the men's 1,000 meter prelims, advancing to Saturday's final with a time of 2:31.88.
