MINOT, N.D. – Picking up a pair of wins each over the weekend, the Minot State hockey team held firm in both the men's and women's ACHA national polls released this week.

The Minot State men (9-1-0 overall, 6-1-1 MCH) swept visiting Jamestown in a pair of games at the Maysa Arena, helping the Beavers lock down the No. 3 spot in the ACHA Division I men's poll for another week.

The 3rd-ranked Minot State men head to Chicago, Illinois, for the ACHA Showcase this weekend, playing No. 8 UNLV on Friday, No. 17 Utah on Saturday, and unranked Arizona State on Sunday.

Minot State's in-state rivals, Jamestown and Mary, were No. 9 and No. 11, respectively, as the Jimmies maintained their place in the poll while the Marauders moved up one spot.

Niagara (N.Y.) was No. 1 in the men's poll for a second straight week, Ohio remained No. 2, Minot State held its spot at No. 3, Liberty (Va.) moved up a spot to No. 4, and Adrian (Mich.) also moved up one spot to No. 5.

In the women's poll, the Beavers (6-3-5, 4-3-1 WMCH) held onto the No. 4 spot for the second straight week after scoring a pair of road wins at Jamestown over the weekend.

Like Minot State, the top 5 in the women's poll remained unchanged with Liberty at No. 1, Midland at No. 2, McKendree (Ill.) at No. 3, Minot State at No. 4, and Maryville (Mo.) at No. 5.

Minot State's in-state rival, Jamestown, slid one spot in this week's poll to No. 11.
