Minot State Women's Wrestling turned in a strong performance at the Beaver Bash Duals, finishing the day 2-1 with decisive wins over Chadron State and Saskatchewan before closing the event with a hard-fought loss to Sioux Falls. The Beavers opened their day with a 30-18 victory over Chadron State. Minot State kept that momentum rolling in their second dual, delivering a commanding 31-11 win over Saskatchewan.
The Beavers closed the day with a challenging match up against the University of Sioux Falls, ultimately falling 14-30. Among the standout performers was
Alyssa Jones (131 lbs), who scored five team points against Chadron State and added another five points against Sioux Falls. Jones secured the fall against Chadron's Maddox Gehlhausen at 2:10. The fall was secured against Mackenzie Armagost from Sioux Falls at 4:54.
With two strong wins and several individual breakouts, the Beavers are ready to continue to momentum in Saturday's match ups.
