Minot State Women's Wrestling will travel to Saint Charles, Missouri, on Saturday to compete in the NCAA Region VI Tournament, making a historic milestone for the program. This season represents the first year that women's wrestling is officially sponsored by the NCAA after previously competing under the NCWWC banner, adding even greater significance to this weekend's competition. With national berths on the line, the Beavers will look to make their mark in the sport's new era. The top three finishers in each weight class will earn automatic qualification to the national tournament, raising the stakes for every match.
The Beavers will send a full lineup to the regional tournament, beginning at 103 pounds with
Kaiya Lopes and 110 pounds with
Alexa Garcia.
Alyssa Jones wil compete at 124 pounds, followed by Pua Beebe at 131 and
Haleigh Lematta at 138. Lematta brings valuable postseason experience as a two-time national qualifier, giving Minot State veteran leadership in a high-pressure setting.
Chloe Parsons (145),
Gracie Tolman (160), Madilyn Chuck (180), and
Aniya Herbin (207) round out the lineup as the Beavers aim to secure podium finishes across multiple weight classes.
