MINOT, N.D.—After a pair of close road losses last week, the Minot State men's basketball team returns home this week before heading back on the road for another tough conference matchup.
The Beavers (3-4) open the week Thursday, December 4, at the Minot State Dome, hosting the University of Jamestown at 5:30 p.m. They will then travel to Aberdeen, South Dakota, for a Saturday, December 6, contest against Northern State at 4 p.m.
Last week, Minot State fell 65-72 to Black Hills and 79-84 at South Dakota Mines in tightly contested games. Junior guard Deuce Benjamin led the charge, scoring 20 points against Black Hills and 30 points against South Dakota Mines, highlighting his scoring ability and leadership. Despite the losses, the Beavers showed resilience and competed hard on both ends of the floor.
Thursday's matchup against Jamestown gives the Beavers a chance to get back on track in front of their home crowd. Minot State will then head to Northern State in Aberdeen, aiming to continue improving and gain traction in conference play.
Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the MSU Dome versus Jamestown, with the Saturday showdown at Northern State tipping off at 4 p.m. in Aberdeen.
