Beavers head to Bismarck for a 2-game midweek NSIC series against UMary

MINOT, ND - The Minot State Beavers baseball team is set to hit the road for a two-game NSIC midweek series against in-state rival University of Mary on Tuesday, April 15, in Bismarck, North Dakota. The doubleheader will begin with game one, scheduled for 1:30 pm, and game two to follow shortly after the conclusion of the opener.

The Beavers (13-20 overall, 8-17 NSIC) head into the series following a three-game weekend set at home against the University of Sioux Falls. Minot State currently sits 12th in the NSIC standings as they look to gain ground in the conference standings during the stretch run of the regular season. The University of Mary Marauders (16-18 overall, 12-13 NSIC) enter Tuesday's matchup in 8th place in the NSIC standings. Historically, the Beavers have found a fair amount of success against the Marauders with a overall record of 24-13.

At the plate, Minot State has posted a team batting average of .292 and an OPS of .807 this season, with 28 home runs. Offensive leaders Connor Hill (.357 AVG), Brent Riddle (.352 AVG), and Michael Williamson (.336 AVG), continue to provide consistency and production for the Beavers.

The University of Mary has posted a team batting average of .285 and an OPS of .830 this season, with 27 home runs. The Marauders are led by Isaac Pegors (.382 AVG), Bryce Leafgren (.364 AVG), and Noah Hull (.302 AVG).  

On the mound, Minot State's pitching staff has posted a team ERA of 8.36 with opponents hitting .329. The pitching staff is anchored by key arms like Hayden Bode (5.40 ERA), Connor Hill (5.49 ERA), and Noah Balandran (4.30 ERA), while Ayden Sauerbrei leads the bullpen with 4 saves on the year.

The University of Mary's pitching staff has posted a team ERA of 7.19 with opponents hitting .290. The pitching staff is led by Aiden Johnson (4.01 ERA), Ryan Chamberlain (5.32 ERA), and Jeff Tiw (8.49 ERA). Sam Hayen lead the bullpen with 4 saves on the year. 

Following the midweek doubleheader against the University of Mary, Minot State will head to Duluth, Minnesota, for a 4-game NSIC weekend series against the University of Minnesota Duluth on Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19.
