HUDSON, Wis. – The Minot State men's and women's golf teams wrapped up their opening round of play Monday at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl at the Troy Burne Golf Club.
The Minot State women's team sits in 14th place after the first day, posting a team total of +61.
Zoe Banack led the way for the Beavers, finishing the day in 25th place with a score of +10.
Tori Worner and
Abigail Goettle are tied for 62nd, each shooting +16.
Meadow Roberts is in 74th place at +19, while
Macie Sebelius rounds out the lineup in 79th place at +31.
Leading the women's tournament is Emerson Garlie of Minnesota State University, Mankato, who sits at even par, while her team also sits at the top of the leader board with a collective +17.
On the men's side, the Beavers are in 10th place with a team total of +23 after day one.
Kasen Rostad had the standout performance for Minot State, shooting a +1, placing him in 19th overall.
Gunther Soltvedt follows in 43rd place at +6, while
Zach Hendrickson and
Max Karnik are tied for 52nd at +8.
Gage Olson rounds out the team in 67th place with a +15 score.
Leading the tournament on the men's side is Jadan Ford from the University of Sioux Falls. Ford finished the day shooting -5. Winona State leads the tournament overall with a team total of -12.
Both teams will return to the course Tuesday for the final round of the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl, aiming to close out the tournament on a strong note.
