BISMARCK, N.D. – The Minot State men's and women's golf teams completed the opening round of the 5th Annual Marauders Tournament today at Hawktree Golf Course, closing out a competitive first day.
On the men's side, the Beavers are tied for 10th place with Montana State Billings after carding a team score of 19-over par. Freshman standout Kasen Rostad led the way once again, firing an even-par 72 to sit tied for fifth place individually heading into Tuesday's final round. Zach Hendrickson also turned in a solid performance, finishing the day tied for 12th at 1-over par.
Additional Minot State scores included Gunther Soltvedt, who is tied for 57th at 8-over par, Max Karnik, who sits tied for 63rd at 10-over par, and both Gage Olson and Fischer Johnson, who are tied for 69th at 13-over par.
On the women's side, Minot State is in third place with a team total of 62-over par. Zoe Banack had an impressive day, placing third individually at 8-over par. Meadow Roberts followed closely, sitting tied for fourth at 10-over par.
Rounding out the scoring for the Beavers, Macie Sebelius is in 14th at 18-over, Abigail Goettle is 16th at 26-over, and Micaela Resler is 19th at 37-over.
Both Minot State teams return to Hawktree Golf Course tomorrow for the final round, looking to move up the leaderboard and finish the tournament strong.
