MINOT, N.D. — The Minot State women's basketball team returns home this week as Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play continues following a challenging road weekend.

The Beavers enter the week with a 10-17 overall record and a 7-13 mark in NSIC action after falling to Minnesota Crookston on Thursday and Minnesota State Moorhead on Saturday.

Minot State opened the weekend with a 62-57 loss at the University of Minnesota Crookston despite holding a one-point lead entering the fourth quarter. Jaime Skeggs led three Beavers in double figures with 13 points and four assists, while Taryn Hamling recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds and Jessica Mogen added 11 points. The Beavers controlled the glass with a 35-33 rebounding edge and converted 10 offensive boards into 10 second-chance points, but Minnesota Crookston closed the game on a 9-0 run over the final two minutes to secure the win.

Saturday's matchup saw Minot State fall 76-67 at Minnesota State University Moorhead after entering halftime tied 37-37. Jessica Mogen paced the Beavers with 23 points, while Hamling added 14 and Tiyahna Trottier finished with 12 points and two steals. Minot State forced 14 turnovers and turned them into 13 points, but the Dragons pulled away in the second half behind a 20-12 third quarter.

This week, the Beavers will travel to face the University of Jamestown on Thursday, February 19, with tipoff scheduled for 5:30 p.m., before hosting Northern State University on Saturday, February 21, at 3:30 p.m. in the regular-season home finale and Senior Day.
