Beavers continue road swing with Minnesota State, Mankato series

The Minot State Beavers Baseball return to the field this weekend for a neutral site series against the Minnesota State Mavericks baseball in Elkhorn, Nebraska.  The teams will open the series with a doubleheader Friday, March 13 beginning at  p.m., before wrapping up the weekend with a single gae Saturday, March 14 at 11 a.m.

Minot State enters the match up riding the momentum of a strong series against William Jewell Cardinals baseball, where the Beavers showcased offensive fire three dramatic wins.

The finale of that series featured one of the Beavers' most explosive offensive performances of the season.  Minot State rallied late for a 13-12 victory behind a huge day from Michael Williamson, who went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, and five RBIs. The Beavers launched five total home runs in the game, including back-to-back blasts from Oscar Pegg and Wyatt Toth in the opening inning.  Out of the bullpen, Jacob Thompson earned the win with four innings of work while striking out eight batters.

With an 8-6 record and confidence building after three thrilling victories, the Beavers will look to carry that momentum into their match up with Minnesota State in Elkhorn.
