Beavers look to bounce back in series against Minnesota Duluth

The Minot State Beavers look to bounce back this weekend as they hit the road for a four-game series against the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs, with doubleheaders scheduled for Friday at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. at Williston State College.

Minot State enters the match up with an 8-9 overall record after a tough weekend against Minnesota State, Mankato, where the Beavers showed flashes of potential.  The Beavers will aim to regroup and turn competitive moments. into complete performances as they take on Minnesota Duluth.  Minnesota Duluth enters the weekend with a 3-17 overall record.

On the mound, redshirt junior Colton Bagshaw is expected to be a key arm to watch after an impressive outing in his last appearance, where he struck out eight hitters over 4.2 innings.

Offensively, Minot State has seen production from several contributors.  Junior Jorey Anderson swung a hot bat in the previous series, recording three hits in one game, including a double, while junior Cowen Meyer provided power with a home run.

The Beavers showed the ability to strike early in recent games, plating runs in the second and fifth innings in the previous Saturday's contest.  Limiting big innings defensively will be critical for their upcoming match up.
