Minot State Baseball hits the road this weekend for a three-game non-conference series against William Jewell College in Kansas City, Kansas. The Beavers and Cardinals will play three single games, beginning Friday at 5 p.m., followed by 1 p.m. match ups on Saturday and Sunday. This weekend series marks the first meeting between Minot State and Williams Jewell since the 2020 season.
Minot State enters the weekend with a 5-6 overall record and is coming off a strong performance from redshirt junior
Colton Bagshaw in his last start. Bagshaw turned in a career-best outing Saturday, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while allowing just one unearned run on four hits in a 4-1 victory over Winona State. His performance earned him Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week honors.
Offensively, Minot State has been led by
Vinnie Gates,
Noah Madas, and Bagshaw. Gates has been one of the team's top hitters early in the season, highlighted by an 8-for-16 performance with eight RBIs during the opening weekend in Arizona. Madas has also provided consistent offense for the Beavers, while Bagshaw continues to contribute as both a hitter and pitcher.
