MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State Women's Soccer team returns home this weekend for a pair of NSIC contests, hosting Winona State University on Friday, September 18, at 5:30 p.m. before facing Concordia-St. Paul on Sunday, September 20, at 1 p.m. at First Western Bank Field at Herb Parker Stadium.

Minot State enters the weekend with a 1-4-0 overall record and 0-2-0 mark in NSIC play after falling 1-0 on the road against Minnesota State University, Mankato and St. Cloud State University last weekend.

The Beavers opened NSIC play Friday against No. 5 Minnesota State University, Mankato, keeping the Mavericks scoreless through the first half before allowing the lone goal after halftime. Goalkeeper Rebecca Sargent recorded 11 saves, matching her Minot State career high, while the Beavers registered three shots, including one on goal.

Minot State then traveled to St. Cloud State on Sunday, where the Huskies scored one minute into the contest and held a 1-0 lead at halftime. The Beavers kept St. Cloud State scoreless throughout the second half, with Sargent making five saves. Minot State recorded seven shots, three of which were on goal.

The Beavers return to Herb Parker Stadium looking to build on the positives from last weekend and continue their progress as a group. Minot State will face Winona State on Friday before closing the weekend against Concordia-St. Paul on Sunday.
