MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State baseball team is finally set to play their first home games of the 2018 season at Corbett Field, as the Beavers play host to Bemidji State in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader on Thursday, April 19 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Minot State is 16-3 in NSIC play after winning two of three games vs. Minnesota Duluth in Watford City, N.D. on Sunday and Monday.
The Beavers clinched the series win in a 27-12 victory in game three over the Bulldogs, scoring the seventh-most runs in a DII baseball game this season and the most runs by a Minot State team since 1984.
Junior
Wyatt Schlosser was named NSIC Player of the Week after hitting .636 at the plate with nine runs scored, three RBIs, 10 walks and five stolen bases.
Minot State is hitting .272 as a team with 191 runs, 241 hits, 55 doubles, six triples and 34 home runs on the season.
Michael Borst leads Minot State in hitting at .324, followed by
Celestino Rodriguez (.313) and
Darrel Doll (.308).
Doll leads the NSIC with eight home runs while also ranked fourth with 31 RBIs on the season.
Kyle Williamson, Rodriguez and Schlosser have notched four home runs apiece while seven other Beavers have atleast one home run.
Scouting the Bemidji State Beavers
Bemidji State enters the doubleheader with a 4-24 overall record and 2-10 mark in the NSIC this season. Scott Litchy leads the Beavers in hitting with a .340 batting average, three home runs and 14 RBIs. Drake Wawro is hitting .280 with three doubles and 10 runs scored. Connor McNallan has a team-high seven starts on the mound with a 1-5 record and 5.68 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 31.2 innings of work.
As a team, the Beavers are hitting .210 with 82 runs, 165 hits, 27 doubles, four triples, six homes and 74 RBIs. The Bemidji State pitching staff has a team ERA of 7.40 while surrendering 163 earned runs on 274 hits and striking out 124 opposing batters.

Bemidji State leads the all-time series with Minot State, 12-7. In their last meeting, the Beavers fell to BSU 5-4 in Bemidji, Minn. on April 19, 2017.

The series was originally scheduled to be played in Sioux Falls, but was moved to Minot due to the recent snowstorm.
