MINOT, N.D. - The Minot State baseball team continues Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play at Corbett Field this weekend, as the Beavers are set to host Sioux Falls in a four-game series on Saturday and Sunday.
The Beavers and Cougars will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1:30 p.m. and a doubleheader on Sunday starting at noon. The series was originally scheduled to be played in Sioux Falls, but was moved to Minot after the recent snowstorm.

Minot State is 18-3 in NSIC play after sweeping Bemidji State (10-5, 13-7) in a doubleheader on Thursday at Corbett Field.
Junior
Wyatt Schlosser paced the Beavers with five doubles in the doubleheader while
Celestino Rodriguez and
Michael Borst added six and five hits, respectively.
Schlosser was named NSIC Player of the Week on Tuesday after hitting .636 at the plate with nine runs scored, three RBIs, 10 walks and five stolen bases.
Minot State is hitting .281 as a team with 214 runs, 267 hits, 67 doubles, six triples and 34 home runs on the season.
Schlosser leads Minot State in hitting at .340, followed by Borst (.339) and Rodriguez (.333) while
Darrel Doll is hitting .306.
Doll leads the NSIC with eight home runs while also ranked fifth with 33 RBIs on the season.
Kyle Williamson, Rodriguez and Schlosser have notched four home runs apiece while seven other Beavers have atleast one home run.
Jaymon Cervantes is 3-0 on the season while
Tannar Galey,
Aaron Kern and
Jeremy Sylvester are all 2-0.
Scouting the Sioux Falls Cougars
Sioux Falls enters the weekend with a 11-21 overall record and 11-11 mark in the NSIC this season. Josh Rehwaldt leads the Cougar offense with a .412 batting average and 28 RBIs while leading the NSIC with eight home runs. Rob Johnson is hitting .328 while Dylan Gavin is hitting .316. Gavin is 3-4 on the season with a 2.66 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 47.1 innings of work this season.
As a team, the Cougars are hitting .242 with 122 runs, 239 hits, 37 doubles, two triples, 20 home runs and 106 RBIs. The Sioux Falls pitching staff has a team ERA of 4.81 while surrendering 136 earned runs on 272 hits and striking out 164 opposing batters.
Head coach Grant Hieb is in his first season leading the Cougar program and holds a record of 11-21.
Series History
Sioux Falls leads the all-time series with Minot State, 10-6. The Beavers swept the Cougars in a four-game series last season in Minot, N.D. on April 13-14, 2017.
