Beavers Battle No. 5 Wayne State in NSIC Tournament Opener

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State baseball team begins postseason play on Thursday as the Beavers battle No. 5 Wayne State in the first round of the 2019 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Baseball Tournament in St. Cloud, Minn.
 
The tournament was originally scheduled to begin on Wednesday, but was moved back a day due to rain.

Beavers vs. Wildcats: Wayne State leads the all-time series with a 13-12 record over the Beavers.
Last Meeting: Minot State split a doubleheader with Wayne State earlier this season on April 10 in Minot, N.D.

In the final weekend of the regular season, Minot State was handed a pair of defeats in an NSIC doubleheader at Minnesota Crookston in Crookston, Minn.

A loss would send the Beavers to an elimination game at 11 a.m. on Friday against the loser of Augustana and Winona State.
