Minot State Volleyball returns to action tis week with a pair of in-state match ups, beginning with a road contest at the University of Mary on Thursday before returning home to host the University of Jamestown on Saturday.  The Beavers will face Mary at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 24th, at the McDowell Activity Center in Bismarck before returning to the Minot State Dome for a 2 p.m. match up against Jamestown on Saturday, September 26th.  Saturday's match will be Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day.  

Minot State enters Thursday's match after a two-match road stretch that included NSIC contests at Minnesota State Moorhead and Minnesota Crookston last weekend.  The Beavers opened conference play at home against Bemidji State and Minnesota Duluth before traveling to Moorhead and Crookston.  

Thursday's match up continues a rivalry between the Beavers and Marauders.  The teams have met 38 times, with Minot State holding a 17-21 record against Mary.  The Beavers are 8-12 against the Marauders on the road and 9-8 at home.  Mary won the most recent meeting between the teams, earning a 3-2 victory in Bismarck on October 21st, 2025.  The Marauders also won the previous meeting in Minot, taking a 3-1 decision on September 23rd, 2025.  

The Beavers will look to break a 10-match losing streak against Mary dating back to 2021.  The teams have played several close matches throughout their history, including last season's five-set meeting in Bismarck, when Mary rallied to win 21-25, 25-21, 27-25, 15-25, 15-10.  

Mary enters Thursday's match after splitting its two road matches last weekend, defeating Minnesota Crookston in three sets before falling to Minnesota State Moorhead in three sets.  

The Beavers return home Saturday to face Jamestown for the second consecutive season.  Minot State has faced Jamestown 11 times, holding a 3-8 record in the series.  The Beavers are 2-3 against the Jimmies at home and 1-5 on the road.  Jamestown has won the last three meetings, including a 3-1 victory over Minot State on October 16th, 2025.  

Saturday's match will be the first meeting between the teams at the Minot State Dome since September 13th, 2024, when Jamestown earned a 3-0 victory.  

Minot State and Jamestown are both competing in the NSIC this season after Jamestown joined the conference as a new member in 2025.  

Following the two in-state match ups, Minot State will travel to Aberdeen, S.D., to face Northern State on Tuesday, September 29th, at 6 p.m.
